Specs: Windows 7
We have a very expensive AT&T T3 installed. We are getting 2.61 mbps download speed and 2.58 mbps upload speed. We thought it would be faster. Somebody help me here!

What speed do they claim? Remember that download speed is usually 1/8th to 1/10th "advertized" speed (download is usually in "bytes", advertized is "bits"). So if you're on a "25MB plan", then it's probably about right. If faster, you need to start complaining...

I hate to seem contentious but you're mistaken T-R-A

Typical overhead in a network connection is about 15-20%. Which is to say, you can expect to get 80% of your rated bandwidth.

If you have questions about your external connection, you really need to contact your provider. They can answer your question. What I can tell you is a T3 in North America should be more along the lines of 45 Mbps.

I am the captain of my soul.
