adding subnet & Vlan

Specs: N/A
I need to add a .5 subnet to a 2800 router and then create vlan5 on a 3560 switch.

192.168.1.1 is our DG

192.168.5.10 is the location I need to add the subnet to on g0/0 for vlan5 on a 3560 switch.

the Ip for the vlan is to be .5.3, that is on a 3560 switch.

I am not sure what subnet addreses I can use.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

" I am not sure what subnet addreses I can use."

Class c address usually uses 255.255.255.0

If that is not the same as the others, you have to then ask why.

192.168.5.10 is the location I need to add the subnet to on g0/0 for vlan5 on a 3560 switch.

What do you mean by "location"? Do you mean the switch's IP is 192.168.5.10?

the Ip for the vlan is to be .5.3, that is on a 3560 switch

What do you mean by this? A VLAN is made up of a subnet, not an IP.

Perhaps if you explained what it is you're trying to do we could help.
