Specs: Window 7
I just bought a used Acer Aspire One 10.1 netbook and I am having some issues. When I got it the pc needed 17 windows updates done. So I did that but I am not sure all the updates worked properly as the machine shut down but never rebooted after finishing updates. After I turned it back on I tried to connect to the internet through my wireless router (which is working fine for other devices), nothing. So I tried a wired connection, nothing again. The wireless is finding my router it is just not hooking up to the internet. I tried ipconfig/all in the cmd prompt and all it shows is that the media is disconnected??? Does anyone have any ideas as to what is going on? The compute seems to be functioning fine except for the internet. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks All!

I'm running Window 7 (I think starter edition).

If you bought it used it is probably best to restore Windows 7 Starter to Factory Default to ensure no left over crapware from previous owner:

ARM Devices the future. Windows have accepted the fact!

I HAVE THE SAME COMPUTER AND HAD THE SAME PROBLEM AND WITH THE WARRANTY I SEND IT TO REPAIR, IT GOT SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE INTERNET CARD...YOU HAVE TO SEND IT TO FIX TO A PROFESIONAL..SORRY.. . BUT BEFORE YOU SEND IT TO FIX TRY FIRST RESTORING THE SISTEM TO FACTORY IF THAT DOESN'T WORK THEN SEND IT TO FIX...
