Hi,
I am having a problem with clearing some bulk emails from my boss email account when he ask me to clear his emails when his email jammed in our webserver, temporarily I was assigned to maintain our website & our email webserver. When I log in to our website control panel to check my boss email account I cant access his email from there so I am not able to clear his jammed emails. Is there any way to access his email from our our website control panel?

thank you & regards,
eric

If you can't see the other users' emails, then you aren't the administrator. You have to login as administrator. That's the only way.

What kind of mail server do you have? Did you setup the accounts? If so, you should be able to access them and manipulate the emails.

Webservers and Email servers are two different things. Perhaps you're confused, or just not using the correct terminology.

Thank you for all your replies, I am not that really expert when it comes to this stuffs, maybe im not really explaining it well in the right term please bear with me. Ok so far what we have is a domain name & a website that hosted with Verio, so basically we have control panel for our website which include also our emails for the company staffs including our boss. we dont have email server alone. Inside the control panel thats where I created the email address of some new staff, I cant view & access individual emails inside the control panel it has a message "No Preview available for this file type" thank you again for your patient in helping me.

You can have POP3 and SMTP running on the same machine as your web server. They all run on different ports. Jennifer is asking if you are using Exchange, Postini or maybe other email server software. It could be that you don't have an email server at all and everything is done on the Verio server. You may have to login there and delete what you don't want.

That's what it's starting to sound like.

If he gives you his username and password, you should be able to create a separate Outlook profile and log in as him, then clear out emails. Be carefull, if the problem is his mailbox is full, it sounds like your using either IMAP or the option to leave messages on server until deleted. By default, Outlook downloads all messages and removes them from the server, so if you setup a profile on your computer all recent messages will end up getting downloaded to your computer and removed before he gets a chance to get them.

The phone can be your best friend, and most email hosting services I know of allow access to mailboxes from a web browser. A phone call to Verio tech support can solve a lot of problems quickly. If Verio does not offer web access to your email, dump that cheasy service and find a reputable one that does (GoDaddy.com, NetworkSolutions.com, Register.com).

Assume that I already did an Internet search.

Yes sir thats exactly what we have in our small office everything is base at the webserver, no ma'am we don't have Exchange or anything like that, what we have is just Outlook so we download our own emails directly from our web server.
Thank you for all your replies, I'll just probably tell to my boss to use different hosting company coz right now our hosting company doesn't have that privilege to access emails to any of our user's in the web server.

Thank you all again, (guapo, Jennifer & Analyst) for all the help & patient.
best regards,
eric
