Solved access my NAS from internet

Specs: Windows 7
I have fixed IP. How do I access my NAS (Terra-Master F2-NAS2) from internet?

within my own network, I can simply type the fixed address of my NAS to access it. from internet i can type my oen IP but can only access my router.

How do I do deeper to access my NAS?

However, I would give some thought to security, make sure you have some form of access control. If you can access you router from the Internet, so can a hacker and it wont take long for a scanner to detect the presence of a NAS. Before you know it your computer joins the domain of the Zombies.

As StuartS advises - consider the ramifications carefully; and pay close attention to security...

QNAPS provide for that facility/option; check their various options/methods etc. if you have one from them.

Western Digital have their own ways of doing/enabling it too (and when last I checked - an age ago to be fair - they charged for it...) You actually use a WD server facility to achieve the "secure" connection (I think..).

Don't know about the other brands.
