How do i access an MS Access backend with a front end without using SQL or share point

Access has no backend. That only refers to SQL server.

to access the db from the internet you would enable port forwarding in the router for port 3389. This port is directed to the static ip of your workstation.

You use RDP to connect to the workstation and run access from there.

If that is too much trouble consider products like logmein, hamachi, gotomypc

Well thanks for the mean time. It sure was too much for me (consider that i could not decipher RDP) so i will first check the other options you have provided. Will be back soon
