Specs: Windows 7
Hello, guys..

I just wanted to ask if there's any possibility to make a 3com fiber module (Single or Multi mode) communicate with a HP switch ??. If yes, how, and if no, then what kind of Fiber module can the HP switch communicate with ?!!.

Note: The HP switch's of type: 2510-24, the 3com single mode type: 3csfp92, and multi-mode type: 3csfp91.

Thanks in advance..

You probably can't. Those tend to be brand specific in my experience. While I haven't worked with any HP products, I have experience with 3COM GBIC's and I can't see them working with any other brand.

As to what specific type of GBIC will work with your HP switch, that info should be contained in the switch documentation/manual.

If you are asking about inserting a 3com device into a hp device the answer is no way.

If you are talking a hp fiber device talking to a 3com fiber device than yes that is possible.

Answers are only as good as the information you provide.
