Specs: Windows Server 2003
Hi i current have two networks in my office one
connection is for VPN which I want to connect to the
file server. The other connection is for LAN with in the
office for everyone to connect to the file server. The
only problem is i dont have access to the router for
this connection as it managed by another IT
company.

What i want to do have both networks access the file
server through LAN and VPN on seperate
connections.

Ive setup the VPN network card with a static IP,
gateway and DNS and can access the router from the
server using the IP, but cant ping the router or ping or
access the server from this network. Does anyone
have any info on how to setup server 2003 so i can
access it from two seperate networks.

i dont have access to the router for this connection as it managed by another IT company.

Call them, explain the situation. They should be able to easily add the route from the VPN network to the LAN network and then you'll have access from the VPN network.

Post the results of an ipconfig /all from the server for review.
