Open up a command box and enter the command ipconfig /all That will at least confirm that 192.168.1.1 is your gateway IP. If that is indeed your gateway IP then what exactly happens when you enter that in your browser address bar? What if any error message do you get? Are you prompted with a login box? Just occasionally my netgear will not respond appropriately when I try to log in. I have found doing a power-off restart of the router fixes the glitch and brings up the expected login box. You need to log into the admin interface first to check the settings for wifi and work out why you cannot get a wireless connection. The login must be done from a wired connection.
