novell unable to logon after install symantec

Specs: Windows XP, 2GB
novell client unable to logon and it will show unable to find tree or server after installing the symantec endpoint protection client 11.0 . Is there any solution to resolve or make the SEP to unblock the novell??

I don't know the Symantec Endpoint Protection by myself, but I know that it includes a firewall.
And exactly that may be the point.
So you have to take a look at SEPs firewall settings.
Depending on the Novell Server configuration, you have to allow the traffic for the following ports:
TCP port: 389 (LDAP)
TCP port: 524 (NCP)
TCP port: 636 (SSL-LDAP)
UDP port: 67 (Bootstrap Protocol Server)
UDP port: 68 (Bootstrap Protocol Client)
UDP port: 427 (SLP)

On howto do this in Symantec Endpoint Protection, you have to read the instructions, came with this product.

Or maybe someone else in this forum has experience with SEP and can guide you.
