If you get trouble with the usb keyboard, try to use a ps/2 keyboard.

There is no ps2 option for keyboard on a Gen8. I have hooked up a usb kvm connection and tried through iLO to have it connect. I am able to get past the initial "detecting keyboard" by pressing "insert" and "enter" then it displays "No Legacy" and continues. It will then bring me to the installation selection screen for language but will not respond to any movement keys or the enter key. There is a blinking cursor in the upper left corner of the screen.

Is there an option in the system BIOS for USB Legacy support?
If so, select aktivate for it.

Maybe that helps.

Nothing in the BIOS that I can see other than to enable or disable and boot options from them.

Are you using the latest ROM version for that machine?

Now I'm a little confused.
The HP Proliant DL360 G7 do have PS/2 connectors for keyboard and mouse.
Are you sure, the G8 has not such connectors?

I couldn't find the G8 at the HP support page.
Therefore, I'm not sure about that.

The Gen8 servers do not have any ps/2 connections on them. They are totally USB. The product details can be found at:

http://h18004.www1.hp.com/products/...

I am downloading the newest firmware now but since we just got them from HP a couple of weeks ago and they have been good about sending them out the door up-to-date, I'm sure we are good on that...but checking anyway.

Easiest way is, to call the HP tech support for that.
I did not find even one word about Netware on an HP Proliant DL360 G8.

Hey HP tech support...help me install something that you don't support. I'm sure that conversation will go over well....

Ok another question.
Why did you buy a HP server to install netware, if it doesn't support netware?
As I said, nothing found at the HP website about this model and netware support.

What's about running netware in a virutal machine on that server?
