Novell Client in only one part to be able to login to a Novell Server.
So you need to have a switch or a router with buildin switch, Novell Netware, a separate machine, where you can install novell netware, Server and User licenses, the knowledge on how to setup and administer a Novell Netware Server and a lot of time to learn this.

At Novell Documentation, you will find all the documentations for Novell Netware, Mail Server a.s.o.

So I suggest to take a look at this site, before you plan to use a Novell Network.

Ah btw., the Novell Server is a standalone server.
So you can not work directly on the server.
You need a workstation (client computer) that login to the server and gets rights to access files and folders, printers, maybe a mail system a.s.o.

I don't really understand the docs over novell.com.
I just want a "straight up'' Answer.

You can't use Novell Network without a Novell Server !!!
If you don't understand the docs at novell.com, you're not able to install and run a Novell Server and therefore the straight up answer is:
"You can't run Novell Network".
