Specs: Netware 6.5
What is the best way to check e-directory's current performance interms of caches/connectionas? Few people has complained they had issues finding the tree - however I did not find any issues so far.
thanks

Use your web browser and type in:
server_ip:8008
or
server_ip:8009

Login as admin and choose Server Health in the left pane.

Have you already done a dsrepair at the server console prompt?

Thanks paulsep - yes I can login to https://server_ip:8009 and it gives me some info. I found out that failed logins per hour is marked as red current is 19 and peak 978. Do you know how can I check the back logs for it?
Can we run DSREPAIR while users logged in? If I run it I get complain that few eople cannot login in that time. DSREPAIR always mention that some files are locked
thanks

DSREPAIR must close the eDirectory exclusively, to possibly correct errors. Therefore it closes eDirectory for a short time, creates a copy of it and opens it again, so that users are able to do their work.

When running a DSREPAIR / Unattented full repair, you might get problems, because all volumes will checked for integrity a.s.o.

However, you must do this, maybe, when most users have freetime.

Keep in mind, that you have to run DSREPAIR on all Netware servers, that has a replica of the eDirectory, one by one, starting with the server that has the master replica.

So DSREPAIR found errors which has now been repaired?

Keep in mind, you have to run this several times, until no errors are found.
