Solved Why does Chrome Remote session end prematurely?

December 30, 2014 at 12:19:44
Specs: OS X
I am using Chrome remote App on my MAC. I am accessing the PC in my office. All seems to be fine, but if I pause even a few seconds to get information and go back to the screen, there is a message asking if I want to continue sharing. But I can't click on the Continue button. Then the session ends. Are there time out settings and if so, how do I change them on my MAC and the office PC?

Maybe this http://superuser.com/questions/5836...

Or this: https://productforums.google.com/fo...

Basically, the remote app is really intended for communication between two people each at their own computer, so one of them will see the "continue sharing?" prompt because at least one of them will be in front of their PC all the time. They would then click 'OK' and the connection won't timeout.

Your situation is outside the apps intended purpose. Commercial software exists which is designed to give one person remote access to another of their computers (eg home PC to office PC, or vice versa). It doesn't drop the session until you log out of it.

That's what you should be using.
