Solved Weird error message

Apple Imac 17-inch, 1.83ghz intel core 2...

Specs: OSX 10.6.8, 2.66 GHz / 7910 MB
I get this when I try to access a certain website I have an account at..

Not connected to hostname '127.0.0.1:3306' : Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock

I've checked , and it appears the site is up, but I can't access it..
Anyone know what's going on?

That sounds like an error on the server at the website. Try emailing webmaster at the site if the problem persists.

Ah! Unfortunately, all I had to go on was that free website tester, to tell if a site's up or not (http://www.isup.me/) and it informed me it was up..
This site has had recurring connection issues, so I'm not surprised..and glad to find out it's not me..

If the site was down you would get a "site not found" type message. The message about not being able to connect to a database server must have come from the website itself. Either something is very wrong with the site (which you would hope would be sorted soon) or it is a problem with your account on the website.

Every website should have a webmaster@(whatever the domain name is) where you can report problems.
