I have a Mac that is not displaying certain websites properly. Some of these websites are ebay, Amazon, etc. All I'm getting is text with a white background. You can still click on and access certain information you're looking for from the website, but the pages are not displaying as they should. Please help!
Macintosh = Apple made several models in the last 25 years. Web Browser = Safari, Firefox, iCab etal
OS = OS X or OS 9 & earlier
Have you updated Flash & Java, or have you even ran the Apple Updates on this unknown Mac ?
Thanks for the sarcasm ;) Any help would be appreciated. This is a Mac OS X Version 10.4.11 I have checked for Mac updates. I am up to date on those. As for my web brower, I was using Safari, but my husband suggested that firefox seems to load faster on his laptop and was a smoother running browser so he installed firefox as well about 2 months ago. I have had no issues with the web pages until about a week and a half ago. I'm not sure about the Java and Flash updates. How do I check for those?
Does the issue happen in Firefox AND Safari? Try the "Safari / Reset Safari" option on the menu bar (Note: that will clear your passwords unless you uncheck the "Remove names and passwords" box)
