viewing photos on a pc from a mac CD

Specs: Windows XP
a friend of mine burned me a CD of photos using her mac computer. i have a PC, everytime i put the CD in my computer is says its a blank CD but when i put it in my grandma's mac it works but i cant seem to email them to myself or figure out how to make it so the CD works on my PC which would be the best option for me. what do i do. can i make it so my PC reads the CD?

It sounds like the CD was burned in the wrong ISO format, or was not finalized correctly for a PC to read it. I'd recommend, to save any hassle, getting a flash drive, and copying the files to that. You can also burn the CD using Disk Utility, which works *very* well for working with PCs and Macs. Another option is to use a third-party burning utility.
