I consider iLivid malware - it takes over websites and automatically downloads unless you kill the browser window. It seems to like sites where you're expecting a download and exploits your expectation that you're getting the download you want rather than iLivid.

So to get rid of it take these steps in OS X --
You will see iLivid as a device. If you try to drag it to trash it will tell you it's in use. Go to the toolbar at the top of your desktop and you probably have an iLivid symbol. Click on it and choose exit.

You still can't drag the iLivid "device" icon to trash because it will still tell you it's in use by TLC (has an orange traffic cone symbol).

Go to Finder, then go to your main Applications folder. READ THESE NEXT INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY. YOU DO NOT, REPEAT NOT, TRASH YOUR ENTIRE APPLICATIONS FOLDER!

Inside the main Application folder you will *not* see either iLivid nor TLC icons. You *will* see a sub-folder called Applications with a weird symbol in front of the 'A' in applications. If you click on that SUB-folder it will simply mirror the contents of your Application folder endlessly. That's where the malware is hiding.

Kill that "applications" sub-folder inside your main Applications folder. Just drag it to trash. Once you've trashed the fake application sub-folder you can drag the iLivid "device" icon to trash. The rest of the main Applications folder was not affected by ditching the sub-folder.

Then empty Trash.
I found this suggestion on an Apple site. Try it, just be very careful. Good Luck.

Unfortunately, none of the suggestions are applicable to my iMac OS10.6.8.

There is no orange traffic cone anywhere.

There is no "a"application folder with the application folder.

Thanks for trying
