Trying to Repair Disk

Apple Mac mini

Specs: Macintosh , Intel
This has happened to me once before, I just forgot how to fix it. I have run Onyx and check my disk permissions. Onyx says that the volume needs to be repaired. I tried to run disk utility and Verify Disk but it tells me to start up with the OS X Install Disk and run Disk Utility through there. But my Install Disk is for OS Tiger and I recently upgraded to OS Snow Leopard. So, when I tried to do that, It said that the OS Tiger Disk was not compatible. Somebody help me, please.

How did you install Snow Leopard? Can't you boot off that DVD?
