I honestly apologize it has taken a while to get back to you. Thank you for the additional information! :) However, I was mainly looking for the model of the affected computer.

If you are connecting through a desktop or notebook computer, I would highly recommend getting an AirPort or AirPort Extreme card to connect to your computer, unless your computer has special requirements AirPort can't meet. Most routers work with it; however, others do require that a Base Station be installed. (Note: The "Mac" section deals with Apple computers and software; if you are not using an Apple computer, which I will be presuming, then this probably will not help as much as another section may.)

However, with that said, you must have installed the driver on your Mac first. Open System Preferences from the Apple menu, located at the top, left hand corner of the screen. Go to Network. From there, check the status of the network, indicated by an LED icon. Double-click the network adapter in question, if the light appears as amber or red. You may need to enter manual settings from another computer, or if you were not prompted by OS X, and your network is encrypted, type in your WEP key or passphrase.

For now, this is about all the assistance I can give.... Feel free to post back with any additional parts you may need help with, or if you still can't connect. Again, I will try to get to your question as quickly as I can. Thanks for using Computing.net! :)
