open damaged CDs on Mac

Specs: Macintosh OSX 10.5.8
I have 2 cds of family photographs from 2005 and when inserted in the cd drive, they will not even show up on my desktop. I'm using an imac with OSX 10.5.8. The disks are not damaged and have been stored as have all of my photos on CDs, in cases. All of my other disks will appear and open. The 2005 CDs will not open on my old mac 9.2.2 either. Is there any help out there?

Your cd is formated to only work on pc... just try to open the cd from a pc and transfer them in your iMac using a USB KEY.

I inserted one of the CDs in the cd tray on HP Pavillion PC operating Windows Vista. Nothing happened. Should the CD open automatically? Should a CD icon appear on the desktop? Both of my disks were burned on my Mac. Not sure why they would be pnly PC Compatible. Thx for any further input.
