I'm a new MacBook Air owner: where is the "desktop icon" you right click to safely eject a thumb nail?

You use the "finder" icon in the dock. Your drive should show up at the bottom. Click the down arrow and choose eject.

Thank you. Never saw the word "eject", but I clicked on the up arrow and the line disappeared. When I took the flash drive out, not message saying it was done incorrectly.

Apple-land don't provide manuals for their kit these days; it's all on line at their support area. The info there is pretty good... Wortha borwse etc..

And there is the Missing Manuals series (O'Reilly) for each Mac OS... Again worth a look-see and possible buy (perhaps from Amazon)?
