Acer V196wl 19" led lcd monitor - 16:10...

Specs: Hackintosh 10.12.6
My Mac Is Not recognizing properly My Acer V196WL Monitor. It is in 1024 x 768 and does not recognize it. It is supposed to be Acer V196WL and Default is supposed to be 1920 x 1080 or something else. Can someone help or code me a driver that will help? I do have clover configurator so yeah.

You may need to buy an Apple monitor for Mac compatibility.

Go to System Preferences/Display. Press the option key/ This should give you a full list of resolutions from which you can select the correct one.

You definitely don't need an Apple monitor for a Mac (unless you have money to burn).

Agree re' no need of an Apple display. I have both an elderly Acer and a recent Samsung. Connect and display fine to Mabook or Mac Mini - straight out the box as it were.

I agree there is no need to buy a Mac monitor. However, if you are still experiencing the same problem, then I would suggest you try to reset the Mac's NVRAM.
