Specs: Windows XP SP3, 800MHz /256mb
My Windows Laptop also disconnects from the wireless but only occasionally and reconnects automatically very quickly even when it does disconnect. Problems with the wireless for the windows PC is occasional.

For the Mac there is a real wireless problem. It does stay connected for most of the time during a session but it does disconnect and you don't know when it is going to reconnect. This can happen every two minutes or so, or it can go longer. I searched online for possible problems and there was a recommendation to edit the locations and select a new location and put the settings back for the new location. Basically it was saying you needed to start with new config settings and the issue would go away. Well it did, and it didn't. That is, on creating the new config, there was an initial connection for 15 mins. Then it disconnected.

Sometimes, swapping between configs, restarting the PC, turning the airport off and on works and sometimes infuriatingly it doesn't.

Can anyone help us resolve this issue once and for all...please?
Many thanks

Try changing the wireless channel in the router's configuration utility. The best channels to use are 1 or 6 or 11 (or 12 if it's available in your country).

All devices connected wirelessly to the router will automatically detect and use the new channel whenever you change it.

I had the same problem for a while now and the best solution I found is to
a) use Ethernet
b) Downgrade to Lion

It's a software bug apple have been turning a blind eye to and it pops up occasionally on certain computers. For now, if possible use cable but if not go back to Lion (10.7)
