It might have got stuck somehow. Have you tried restarting your computer to see if it works then?

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

Depending on your version of OS X, you may have a feature called gatekeeper. This is built in to ensure nobody can add any software that is capable of harming you in some way(like streaming a web cam feed or something like that). If you go to system preferences, then select the security settings, you can see on the general tab what your settings are. It has Mac App store only, App store and identified developers, or anywhere. Sometimes you have to temporarily lower it for things like chrome or firefox or Microsoft office, even though these are identified developers. If you have to lower it to anyone, make sure you load the program for the first time, then immediately switch it back to whatever level it was previously at.
