I want to connect a hp scanjet 3200c to a mac

Specs: Macintosh
I just inherited an old scsi port HP 3200C and I am wondering if it can be connected to and used on a MAC running OSX 10.5.3 2X3Ghz Dual core intel Xeon. 10GB Ram

Thanks for entertaining the question. Is it worth the anticipated hassle or just invest in the 21st century. Suggestions anyone?

Theoretically, you could get it to work, if you can go onto an online parts mall and find a piece that converts the old SCSI connector to a simple USB port, unless you've added on to your Mac--but this might be rare. If even made with Mac drivers for OS X, you will need to get the HP printer drivers off the CD that came with your printer, as the drivers are not posted online by Hewlett-Packard for this particular model. I doubt, however, that this old printer would work with OS X.

Plug it in, and the Printer Assistant should step you through setting it up. If Leopard cannot find the driver, which I would definitely guess it couldn't because your model is that old, you are going to need to use your setup disc before using it. If nothing works, then you will need to find an old PC, and use your cheap printer with that.

Let me know if you need any more help. :) Please give this a thumbs-up if you found it useful.
