HP 72100 all in one printer and mac- can't i

Specs: Macintosh
HP devise manager does not recognize the scanner feature on our HP all in one 7210 printer. we have reloaded drivers multiple times . It prints fine. How can I fix this so I can use the scanner ?

If you've already run the Printer Setup Assistant, go ahead and download the full suite of driver software + extras from HP (it will be somewhere between 300-800 MB!). You can find those in HP Support. Just type in your printer model, select Drivers & Software, choose your operating system, the file you need/want, and download it to your system. The *full* software suite should allow extra features of your printer to work.

If not, or you've already done all this, your printer probably does not support scanning with a Mac.
