I have a mac book pro and someone gave me a video to edit but it is on a mini dvd. I tried to hook up their video camera to my laptop but the cords don't fit. I even bought a different firewire cord but it doesn't work. HELP???

Find a PC that has a DVD tray that can safely hold a mini DVD. If you're unsure if it will sit right, (for instance, if it doesn't fit in the inner grooves of the tray), don't attempt this!

However, if you do, open either Computer or My Computer, and find the mini DVD you popped in. You can then take the video, copy it to the Desktop, and eject the mini DVD. From here, you have two options. Firstly, you can use a flash drive to transfer the video, or secondly, you can insert a new, full-size DVD writable and burn the video to that.

I hope this answers your question directly.
