how to format a drive which can't be formated

Specs: Macintosh
I have a seagate 1 TB usb drive. It got corrupted and now whenever I connect to windows 7 I get message that drive is not formated. When I try formaing after some time I get message that windows can't format the drive

try use third party tool like winsetup or format it from dos command

try using winsetup to format it and make sure it set on NTFS quick format

Sounds to me as if the drive may be damaged. How did it get corrupted? Why are you trying to format it from Windows 7 if it's for use with a Macintosh?
