It would help if you could explain how you are connected to the Internet (modem or modem router) and why you want to change the IP address. I have an idea that it might not accomplish what you wish.

Why do you want to change your IP address? This can only be done through your Internet Service Provider (ISP). If you want to shift around the endian of your network device node, you can access your router manually, if permitted by your ISP. Note most routers are password protected by the ISP to prevent damage to your own settings. In short, contact your ISP. Even if you did manage to change the last bit, say from 3 to 4, it wouldn't make things any more secure, because you'd still be operating out of the same router. If you are concerned, and have a genuine reason for wanting to do this, contact your ISP. Most will do the service for free for you, if the reason is a realistic one.
