Specs: Macintosh , not sure
Hi :)

If someone can help me please.

I am using the default downloader on my Macbook Pro Mac OSX V10.6.7, I accidentally changed the setting and now after downloading file, the file is removed automatically from the download window. How can I change this setting back, so the downloaded file does not disappear.

Many thank,
Ekat

Open Safari. You can do this using Spotlight, or if you still have it in your Dock, click the compass. If you do not, use Spotlight, housed in the top right of the Menubar running the top of the screen. From Spotlight, type safari and press return.

Safari will open for you. Then, go ahead and open the Safari application menu. Click Preferences. Select the General pane. From the "Remove download list items" drop-down menu, choose Manually.

If this does not apply (e.g. you are using Firefox instead), or if you need additional assistance, feel free to post back. I hope this helps you. Also, if you're a new Mac user, take a look in Mac Help from the Finder or the Mac How-tos on this website.
