Simple - I downloaded an msi file I paid for, my mac OS X doesn't open it! Can it BE OPENED? Is there any zip application that can do it?
An .msi file is a Windows installer file. That won't work on OS X. What is the file?
You bought a Windows Version of the Software, contact the Software Vendor.
One is a custom file. Another is jzip for windows. Jzip says they have it for Mac, but I can't find it. I've contacted the vendor. I have a new Mac Mini. I guess I can partition the hard drive and install Windows. That brings up another question.
Will Windows on a partitioned Mac HD be vulnerable to viruses (I assume yes)? And will the OS X side of the drive be vulnerable to those viruses? (Can a virus/worm/trojan cross the partition?) If I never download or receive mail, will I be protected from viruses? I will be browsing.
Thank you very much for your reply.
I've contacted the vendor and await a reply. They do give refunds.
Thanks for your reply.
