It seems I'm always typing out my email address to insert into online forms, etc.
I've been looking for a way that I can set up a permanent hot key that will quickly let me just paste my email address into any box that I need to.
For example hit something like Control + E to load my email address onto the clip board so I can just click in the box and hit "paste" (control + V).Another option - Find a way to have my email address on display somewhere that's always in sight say on the title of the browser or somewhere, where I can quickly copy it to paste it where ever I need.... I tried changing the title of the bookmark toolbar to my email address but when I paste it it just shows the url for the bookmark...
Someone out there's got to have it figured out by now ....
I've been trying to solve the same problem. It should be easy since I used to do it with DOS. None of the macro programs I have tried would do it easily.
Sorry not a MAC user. Can't delete.
There a multiple clipboard programs that can do what you want. I use ClipMenu (freeware). Besides storing a history of clipboard items, it can be set up to recall preset snippets, ie: email address, phone no., quotes, etc.
