My roommate just bought a mac book pro and he wants to be able to control his pc from his office on his new laptop. I downloaded and installed the Remote Desktop Connection software for Mac onto his Macbook. When I go to remote connect to his computer, it doesn't work. I get an error message telling me it doesn't work because either I typed in the wrong computer name, the computer I am trying to connect to is off or sleeping, or the computer I am trying to connect has network issues. None are true. I know how to use remote desktop. As a matter of fact, I went down stairs to my pc and connected to his pc no problem using remote destop, which rules out all of that. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the problem is on the mac book. Something need to be configured on the mac in order for it to be able to remote connect. Am I in the right galaxy? Somebody please help. I'll buy you a sandwich or something lol.

No Operating System details for the Mac ?

'Remote Desktop Connection software for Mac' who supplies this software ?

http://www.apple.com/downloads/maco...

http://www.microsoft.com/mac/remote...

If the Windows can see Mac and not vice-versa, the the Windows PC is not allowing connections from the Mac.........

The mac is running 10.6.4 . The first link you sent was broken, and the second link you sent was the software I already downloaded for the mac. I'm sorry I didn't understand your explanation.
