I used to work for them for a year (worst company in the world to work for in my opinion the way they treated me). Anyway.... :)

Without knowing if any errors are popping up, etc. I would first try a repair of the file system in pure OS single user mode. Without me typing it all out...
Regardless if any errors or not, uninstall the program again, reboot. Use Ccleaner for Mac to clean up any left over junk. Then reinstall Chrome and try again.

If you are not crazy about Chrome and Safari, can try Firefox for Mac, if you not too picky on browser use (some are, some are not).

Try that out. Hope it helps.

I reply as fast as I can, but it could be hours or months. Always busy.

Iron is another browser - based I think on the same origins as Chrome; but less a problem on a Mac.

I have it around for those websites that don't seem to work/load properly with Safari.
