External Hardisk for mac

Specs: Mac OS X - Version 10.5.6
Hello,
I bought a free agent external hardisk last week (350GB). I work on Mac, when I plugged it in, I couldnt cipy any file on it. How does it work on my computer? On PC, it works perfectly.

You will need to re-format the external Hard Drive with either of the following file systems: FAT-32, HFS, HFS+, HFS+J, or UNIX file system. Be aware that to use the HD between the PC and Mac, you can ONLY use FAT-32 at the current time.

PowerMac 9600(1 ghz G4)
512mb RAM
50gb SCSI
ATi 9200 PCI

Format it on the Mac as MBR with FAT filesystem. Then format it as FAT32 on Windows.
