Firefox allows you to change whether the font from the site can change the display font.
Click the Tools button on the upper left hand corner of the browser screen>(Select) Options>Content tab>fonts and colors>select your desired default font & size from the drop-down menus. Then click Advanced, uncheck the allow sites to choose thier own fonts.

In safari you may be stuck with the font they have chosen.

Hi Mike. Thanks for answering. Unfortunately, half of the menus you mention in Firefox aren't available in mine (ver 24.) And the font problem is more universal—some of my application windows are now displaying in Quiet Infinity, so i think it's (yet another) font bug in 10.6.8.
Does anyone know how to delete a specific font in Terminal?

:( Phil

In Font Book, click "All Fonts" in the Collection column.
Click the name of the font in the Font column.
Choose Disable "Font Name" Family from the Edit menu.

This is a fast way to disable the font.

Unfortunately, the font doesn't show up in Font Book. Nor in any of the system font folders (Users, Library, etc.,) nor in FontExplorer Pro, nor in any search. I only found the name of it because it shows up in my Illustrator font list. I suspect, as it's a tt font, it came from a PC and has a different source name.

I'm having the same problem, Phelan - did you ever solve this issue?
