Copy Mac OS 8.0 CD

Mac / Os 8.0 cd

Specs: Mac OS 8.0, Power PC 603e; 180 MHz, 32 Mb.

How do I copy a mac OS 8.0 CD? I have a retail cd that is scratched. I made an ISO of the CD and was able to install using Basilisk II, but when I burnt the ISO to a CD, it wouldn't boot on a Supermac C500e\180 with a Apple CD 600i installed. I am able to boot to the original CD though. (Can't install because of the scratch in the cd).

If you were able to make an ISO image that works successfully in Basilisk, I suspect the problem with using it on real hardware is that it was burned incorrectly (such as too fast for the old drive to read, or with a low-quality disc. Try burning the ISO image again at a slower speed, and if your burning software supports disc verification, use it.
