I have saved some music files from an organ which makes a unix-execuatable file and would like to save the music in mp3 format. I tried adding .mp3 to the name and it saved. But now I cannot open it with itunes. Is there a way to convert?
If the application is compiling the music file into some kind of application itself, simply changing the extension will not work. Since OS-X is nothing more than BSD UNIX with a gui over top, just re-compile your application for use on PPC/darwin UNIX. If you are a UNIX person, you should be use to re-compiling apps. You can download the tools (sdk) from Apple if you need too.
