A little more information please: 1. Does this "pen" connect to the computer via bluetooth or USB? 2. Who manufactures this "pen"? (brand name). 3. Is this device compatible with Apple? 4. are you importing photos or video?

What format - or oat least where is the film from; as in is it homemade (via a digital camera) or a copy of a commercial film transferred to the pen drive?

This may may be useful to read:

(If considering using iTunes... - Apple allow only mp4 formats to be imported into iTunes...)

If the above link/info doesn't help...

Do you have iMovie installed on your Macbook Pro (also which actual model/version of theMacbook - and which version of the operating system)?

If you have iMovie installed, open the application; click on the media tab. Then go to File (top of screen) and select "import media". They "ought" to be a list of all devices etc. including your usb pen/flash drive.

When you open iMovie initially it will take you through a series of steps - all about it...; as soon as you can cancel that lot and end up on the actual applications screen; and proceed as just above.
