Can you tell me how to install Mac os using open firmware?

Specs: Mac Os X, 1.07GHz/256 MB
How to install mac os x tiger on my ibook g4 using open firmware?Old system is not functioning anymore.When I try to boot my old system apple sign appears and it stands there for hours.Every time I turn on my computer it's the same.I guess that I must use firmware but i don't know how.Can anyone help me?

It should just be a question of booting from the install CD and following the prompts. But make sure you use either a CD produced for your particular model or a generic retail one.

Having said that, the fact that your iBook is not booting could indicate a failing hard disk.

It could be the problem.When I start my computer it shows picture of hd but not his label.When I continue some kind of folder blinks.And then computer tries to load the mac os but I waited once for 5 hours and it didn't work.I don't know what to do?

I tried everything from above said but every time it just displays the same message "LOAD SIZE is too small"!
