OK--the only problem is in Boot Camp, but your Mac cannot install Windows? This is not related to the Desktop--the Desktop is the area where the background picture sits, and when every window is closed, you can see it clearly. This is where the hard disk icon and all your icons that you place there sit.

So, if your Mac cannot boot to there, something got seriously messed up. But if it is just that Boot Camp doesn't work, this is different. What precisely is going on with your computer?

Please post back to explain if your Mac works fine, and you just can't get Boot Camp to cooperate, or what the problem is, and I will be glad to help as quickly as I can! :)
