Wine is locked, and I don't know what to do.

May 28, 2012 at 21:45:57
Specs: Ubuntu, 2.0/ 2 gigs of ramof ram
I can't do anything with wine(program used to run windows applications on Linux) after installing it. I keep getting "cannot get pid from lock (lock isn't locked)". I am basically a rookie with Linux so I have no idea what that means. If it matters I am using Ubuntu 12.04

Wine is a sort of virtual machine. You don't run wine you install some supported windows application to it then run the application from the /.wine/c_drive or maybe from a link created on desktop.

Did you install a supported application from the wine add programs?

Hang up and live.
