Specs: Windows xp, i386
hello all
i have recently installed samba server on fedora 13 and have configured it correctly. I have created users and added them in samba server. Our organization environment is completely microsoft domain client environment. Client operating system are windows xp,7 and vista. They access their computers by AD directory user account. And they access file server (samba) by linux users. Three partitions are shared and specific users have access to specific partition. The permission for partitions are 777 and quota is also applied. The users can access the contents of partitions from windws computers and when they want to bring change in a file, it gives error "unable to create file " filename" the specific network name is no longer available"
while he can access the SMB server

in /etc/fstab, change your mount option so that it is rw. You probably have "defaults" as the mount option currently. Just change that to 'rw', or 'user,rw' if you have a mixed environment.
