Specs: Linux i686
I have a Linux, Eee PC 1.0.1 (made by ASUS) which has served me faithfully throughout this year.

However recently whenever I try to open either file manager or task manager the following error message comes:

DCOP communications error (Task Manager)

There was an error setting up inter-process communications for KDE. The message returned by the system was:

Could not read network connection list.
/home/user/.DCOPserver_eeepc-dse__0

Please check that the "dcopserver" program is running!
