ubuntu cannot detect partitions on drive

September 19, 2010 at 08:09:00
Specs: Ubuntu 10.04 LTS, RAM 256 kb
I am trying to install ubuntu on a blank drive but when at the partitioning screen, the list has nothing on it. All the buttons are grayed out and when I press forward, it says: 'no root file system is defined. Please correct this from the partitioning menu.

"RAM 256" is a little light, better create a swap partition.
