Hey Ok So I have a My Sony Vaio laptop that has Linux mint loaded to it. The trouble is that Mint won't detect my laptops screen ( i used a external screen for install). What can I do?

If you boot to live cd in failsafe mode does it boot up to a gui in internal? On normal boot?

Before I get to changing from ext to int we need to get int working I'd think.

You said that you installed the system to a laptop while it was connected to an external monitor.

My question is basically why? Did you start with a cd that booted to some graphical installer?
