Can Rosetta Stone be made to run on Ubuntu?
I am going to install Ubuntu on my old computer. If this is not possible can I have 2 operating systems on my computer and use like Windows XP to make Rosetta Stone work?

There's no Linux version of Rosetta Stone, it's Windows & Mac only.

Yes, you can have two operating systems on the same PC - it's called dual-booting.

Ubuntu installed first: http://apcmag.com/how_to_dual_boot_...

Windows XP installed first:

An alternative to dual boot (and more safe) is to run Ubuntu or XP inside a virtual machine. Take a look at open source VirtualBox (free): it can run under Linux or Windows and supports both environments as guest operating systems. In that way you can concurrently run Ubuntu and XP, the guest one in a window just as any other application.
