Specs: Linux i686
Hi, while trying to install APACHE, i got to the next problem, i did the configuration and it went out ok. then when trying "make":

[root@Localhost httpd-2.2.15]# make
make: *** No targets specified and no makefile found. Stop.

So, lets try harder:

[root@Localhost httpd-2.2.15]# make -B -k --makefile=Makefile.in
Makefile.in:28: /build/rules.mk: No such file or directory
Makefile.in:29: /build/program.mk: No such file or directory
Makefile.in:233: /os/os2/core.mk: No such file or directory
make: *** No rule to make target `/os/os2/core.mk'.
make: *** No rule to make target `/build/program.mk'.
make: *** No rule to make target `/build/rules.mk'.
make: Failed to remake makefile `/os/os2/core.mk'.
make: Failed to remake makefile `/build/program.mk'.
make: Failed to remake makefile `/build/rules.mk'.
Installing configuration files
make: /extra: Command not found
make: *** [install-conf] Error 127

Didnt work.
Suggestions?

Change to the folder, where you've extracted the downloaded apache file.
The folder name depends on the version you downloaded.
E.g.:
cd /tmp/httpd-2.2.15

Then type this command and hit enter.
./configure
or
./configure --parameters
where --parameters could be --prefix=something.
Read the INSTALL file in the root folder of the extracted apache file.

Now apache checks a lot of things, which should end up without errors and you're back at the command prompt.

Next, type in:
make

Then type in:
make install
