Problem with dual boot Windows 10-Linux - Mint 19.2

October 11, 2019 at 06:39:39
Specs: Win10 - Linux Mint 19.1, AMD Ryzen 3 1200/8GB
Have a dual boot PC with Win 10 and Linux Mint 19.2. The last few days it gives problems starting up. Sometimes the UEFI comes on, but it doesn't go to the menu with the choice Win/Linux. When I make the choice where to go in UEFI I sometimes get into one of the two OSs.

Since much longer my external SSD is not recognised in Linux and I have to start again. In Win there are all sort of programs to find faults, is there something in Linux circles to get more details on possible faults.

Is there something wrong with the motherboard / CPU or the setup of the software.

Any help to solve this would be appreciated. Willem 1933

try setting the partition with linux to be the first boot option from the bios. If you are able to boot into linux, open the terminal and update grub and i think it will be fine.
